Horse Guards and the Treasury, Whitehall, Westminster, London Peel Two seamenHorse Guards and the Treasury, Whitehall, Westminster, London, 1810. The Palladian Horse Guards was built in the early 1750s by John Vardy to a design by William Kent. The Treasury building is on the right. In the foreground is a Turkish cannon brought back from Egypt by British troops.
