Germany, Luftwaffe. A Ground Assault Badge, Late-War Integral Eagle Variant, by G.H. Osang visually-hidden 64 mm (w) x 62(Erdkampfabzeichen der Luftwaffe). Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by an integral Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, overlaying a stylized cloud from which a lightning bolt emanates and strikes the ground, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked but demonstrating the characteristics of a late war
