Constructed of silvered feinzink, the obverse bearing a raised German national eagle perched on top of a pair of skis defaced by an edelweiss and Sturmabteilung (SA) insignia, circumscribed by inscriptions of DER FHRER DER SA GRUPPE HOCHLAND (THE LEADER OF SA GROUP HOCHLAND) and NS WINTERKAMPFSPIEGEL 1938 OBERHOF (NATIONAL SOCIALIST WINTER SPORTS GAMES 1938 OBERHOF), the reverse bearing an engraved
