Instituted in 1903. In silver gilt, measuring 35 mm in diameter, rim marked "J. C." (Joseph Christlbauer, Wien), also marked with Austrian Imperial silver hallmark on the rim, near mint. This is first type of this medal. In its original case of issue, this in very fine condition, and scarce.
