but the drama of one particular incident during the ship's second commission (1931-33) deserves the spotlight
although he was constantly exposed to enemy artillery shelling and Private Blaquiere was instantly killed

Germany, Heer. A Kuban Shield Auction In 1909 Marshall applied in(Heer Kubanschild). Constructed of bronzed magnetic metal, the obverse consisting of a shield bearing a stylized map of the Kuban region, topped by a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, flanked by a date of 1943, secured with all four reverse attachment prongs to a magnetic metal backer with a field grey wool liner indicating Heer issue, the shield measuring 52. 10 mm (w) x 61. 64 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
