Class Knight Commander for Military Merit, c. 1930s consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac measuring 100 mm (w) x(Ordo Sancti Gregorii Magni Ordine di San Gregorio Magno). Three piece construction, consisting of a Maltese Cross with ball finials, the obverse with a central blue enameled circular disc bearing the leftward facing bust of St. Gregory, circumscribed Gregorius Magnus in capitalized lettering, the reverse with a similar central blue enameled circular disc inscribed Pro Deo et Principe (For God and Ruler) in capitalized lettering, circumscribed
