Nigel Lorringe daughter of the Earl of Carlisle from castle Howard whose 1811 work is referredNigel Lorringe, late 14th century, (1910). Costume of the reign of Richard II (1377 1399), showing a houppelande (voluminous robe) which reaches over his head, ornamented with a bold pattern.
