This is a stunning antique Shaker-style turned wood bowl with threaded handle
though I'd probably set it in an arrangement of objects or hang it somewhere--and am rather fantasizing about a whole wall of these
including both antique and contemporary decor
I love the dramatic moodiness of this old (1953) caricature drawing of a young man--or perhaps young woman
Edward Koren Original New Yorker Cartoon Drawing "I'm Demographically Perfect" rustic pottery bowl This is a stunning antiqueI'm pretty sure I remember this Edward Koren drawing from when it appeared as a New Yorker cartoon some years ago, but I have not been able to find it in the The New Yorker's archive in order to date it but surely what makes for demographic perfection has become more complex and conflicted since it was published! This is the original ink pen on cream paper board, with pencil (and some erasure marks) underneath, and signed in ink in the lower right
