I previously reviewed the 1998 Lirac Cuvee de la Reine des Bois prior to bottling

The wood though is definitely more prominent on the palate and it’s not subtle on the equally opulent yet finer medium weight flavors that exude a subtle minerality on the balanced and lingering finale that displays slightly better depth

This too is deceptively structured though the muscled

powerful and persistent finish that is supported by fine tannins
