A nice old carved ball in cage whimsy with carved loop for hanging or just to  dangle

Age and wear evident: some craquelure and some paint loss especially along the bottom edge from where I assume it was at one point framed as well as some scattered small chips here

And it is rare that I come across a set with such a complete scope of sizes as this a modular range of rectangles and squares, plus round columns and half spheres and very pointy cones, too.
