Pennsylvania Roses and Vines Watercolor on 1846 Bible Engraving wabanaki pin cushion dating to the 1940s II wouldn't usually go for a Biblical engraving this one dating to 1846, representing a quote from Isaiah 43: 2 (When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee) but surrounded by hand painted roses and vines, it's right up my alley, and I love the combination juxtaposition, with the rosebuds feeling like promises of comfort indeed! Found in Pennsylvania, and though the painted flowers on it surely date to a bit later than the engraving,
