surely with sponges in hand to create the marbleized effect
though I think a fair bit older than that

Reverse Framed Oil on Board Seascape Signed A Jewett with Tape Grid Flip Grand Lake Stream Maine reminding one of the layQuite a nice oil on board painting of waves crashing on the Maine coast, perhaps painted on Monhegan island mid century or so, with the added bonus of a satisfying minimalist tape grid on the reverse side, given privileged treatment via the frame I found it in (the flip side faces front, under glass, while the painting sits flush to the back of the frame, which suits it quite well I think! (Easily removed of course should one want to treat it
