I can't say for certain that it is a Native American carving, but based on the face, I might think so. In any event, as opposed to many "wood spirit" carvings faces carved into branches with the bark on them which are pretty kitschy, the relative simplicity and stoicism makes this one really great I think, and with quite a proud presence that far
