It is most commonly a left tooth

though has a bit of a texture on the front of the face

with a halo of solid black surrounding these women as if protecting and connecting them

M. & Co. padlock is a pretty rare one, dating to the Civil War era, and all the rarer in great working shape with key. D. M & Co stands for Davenport Mallor & Co of New Haven, CT and there were a few varieties of these they produced; this one, heart shaped, with decorative brass plate around the keyhole and simple brass swinging lock cover is my favorite I've seen.
