or the fringe on top could be wrapped around a dowel and stitched lightly to the back of the textile to hang it on the wall

and this is about the most beautiful I've ever seen

Balancing Teeter Totter Dogs black pottery vase The neck is not quiteI not sure what these little creatures, cast brass dogs I believe, once teeter tottered on, but I thought they were worthy of rescuing from a pile at the flea market, as they can certainly balance in all sorts of places, and they look pretty joyful doing so! 7 1 2" long; dogs are 1 1 2" tall.
