clove and violet nuances on the pretty mix of blue and black pinot fruit and plum aromas
The floral element comes back strong on the mineral-driven finish
(25% new oak from a mix of 35 and 65 year old vines)
A slightly more refined nose speaks of red berry fruit that is liberally laced with notes of cassis and blue berry while introducing rich and even more elegant medium-bodied flavors that culminate in a firm
Silver Heights, Emma's Reserve Size:6x750ml clove and violet nuances onFull bottle a heavy 1,645 g. 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 50% Merlot. Emma Gao's top red. Luscious, subtle mature ruby. Lightly resinous nose and very pleasing, ripe, bordeaux blend nose. Clean and surprisingly fresh for a 15% wine, with light leafiness. Sweet start, no shortage of fresh acidity, this is really very creditable. Just the sort of wine to give to people doubtful about whether China can produce decent wine. Long and very respectable indeed.
