Lovely c. 1920s Isleta Pueblo Pottery Basket the defender as bright and crisp andI have a particular love for the painted patterns and combination of black and orange on Isleta Pueblo pottery, which is symbolic here checkerboard patterns that I believe symbolize rain combined with orange circles with dots at their center that I believe reference either suns or flowers.
