This is about the loveliest little watercolor of the sea that I think I’ve ever seen

another with a photo of a wonderfully serious looking older couple

one of two in the shop that came  from a larger collection of drawings executed by the artist on a Grand Tour encompassing Italy

Colorful Old Wooden Acrobat Squeeze Toy on Stand woman-shaped whistle This is not my typicalI find it impossible to resist these old acrobat squeeze toys when the acrobats are as good as this guy. How to resist this delightfully goofy, hand painted pink face, coupled with the fantastic turquoise and yellow of his outfit? I'd think he dates to the early 20th century, and extra nice that there is a base to squeeze handle, making for easy tabletop display. It takes a couple of squeezes to get him going, but once one does he's very acrobatic!
