Late 1830s Naive British Ink and Watercolor: The Coach Dog lightening painter with the dates of 1913This marvelous ink and watercolor of "The Coach Dog" is one of a group I purchased from a seller in England, which had previously been bound together as a booklet, and which I am listing individually. Like this wonderful spotted coach or carriage dog (trained to trot alongside a carriage to protect the occupants), each depicts a working animal in a very iconic and really quite regal manner to my eye just about as good as it gets.
