Hope, c. Mid 19th Century Punch Paper Embroidery on Silk Ribbon Chinese cinnabar who wrote his name allMuch nicer to think of Hope as an anchor than a delusion, hard as that sometimes feels! Mid 19th century punch paper embroidery hand stitched to pale silk ribbon, with some toning and stains that seem perfectly suited to that nature of hope itself. Overall 6" x 1 1 2". Embroidery itself 2 3 4" x 1 1 4". Stable and sound, ribbon not brittle. Found in Massachusetts.
