Harry Monk, Massachusetts, Vintage Carved Shorebird hand-drawn maps and some white paint onThis shore bird, carved and stamped by Harry Monk (1916 2010) of Whitman, MA, is not especially old I guess later 20th c. but I think quite beautifully done, with an elegance to the form, orange glass eyes, and very satisfying paint job, especially the mottling on the wings. Very handsome, with a graceful and serene presence. 9 1 2" l x 7 1 2" t x 2 7 8" w (at base). Very good condition.
