SOLD Old Carved Folk Art Leaping Deer with Nail Eyes the village school blocks Each canister measures 5 1/2"I believe this sweet old carved deer once stood on a post, as there is a small hole in her belly, and certainly she could be given a stand once again, though I like her just as she is, simultaneously leaping and resting. A lot of years on her for sure, late 19th very early 20th c. I would think, with a beautifully elongated head that adds to a sense of (aero)dynamism, long ears pointing in the opposite direction, and brass nails for eyes. Plus
