Eskimo Ice, 1970s Greenwich Village Street Photo round mat To my eye quite aI purchased this one from a favorite dealer in the Hudson River Valley, with lots of bins of drawings and photos and ephemera to dig through. I love it for feeling like a whole world on a corner, and iconic of a Manhattan long gone. (The Eskimo Ice cart also makes me think of David Hammons's brilliant snowballs for sale street performance of 1983.) A handwritten note on the reverse of the photo reads "Greenwich Village, 1970s" and looking closely one
