Native Alaskan Eskimo Carved Walrus Ivory Figure in Parka threaded glass and Central School of ArtsI believe this carving is Native Alaskan, walrus ivory, likely mid 20th century. I love the carved then black inked details accentuating the the hood, gloves, bottom edge of the parka and boots, which also bring the luminosity of the ivory into relief. Most of all I love how composed but acutely observant and alert he seems a wonderfully watchful presence to keep near. 3 3 8" tall x 1 1 4" wide x 7 8" deep.
