Is this the best vintage since 1990 or perhaps 1978

I really like the amount of dry extract here as it relegates the still firm tannins to the background and this should age effortlessly for years to come

Note that this has already begun to shut down and while the future is indisputably bright it’s clear that this is going to require a very long snooze in a cool cellar

Paolo Scavino, Barolo Bric Fiasc Vintage:2004 Is this the best vintageThe 2000 Barolo Bric del Fiasc (magnum) explodes onto the palate with layers of raspberry jam, new leather, licorice and spices, showing tons of intensity, expressive inner sweetness and an impossibly long, powerful finish. Bric del Fiasc is usually a massively tannic wine, but in 2000 the fruit has enough intensity to nearly cover the tannins. This is superb, great Bric del Fiasc. Antonio Galloni
