Fearful Ordeal for Jones Size:M: 50 x 40cm Fourth and final state of'Fearful Ordeal for Jones', 1867. A young lady sings in a forceful manner at a sweating young man. The name of the song, 'Roberto, tu che adoro', causes the young man acute embarrassment. Many an evening of musical entertainment was enjoyed in the homes of both middle and upper classes.
