Master Ritchie's Easter-Egg mb-code 1954-5674 Originally designed as a sailing'Master Ritchie's Easter Egg', 1888. This cartoon shows Charles Thomson Ritchie, a member of the Conservative party. He had recently introduced a new Local Government Bill. The way he tackled the massive amount of paperwork and administration involved won him the admiration even of the Opposition party. The only people to disapprove of the Bill were his own 'old style' Conservative colleagues. From Punch, or the London Charivari, March 31, 1888.
