There is both good intensity and detail to the lightly mineral-inflected middle weight flavors that culminate in a mildly austere and rustic but solidly complex and persistent finish

which sounds extreme but bear in mind this is the cooler section of the plateau back towards the border with Castillon and these soils take longer to fully ripen their grapes

The palate is extremely well balanced with just about perfect viscosity

Jonata, Fenix Vintage:2015 There is both good intensityThe 2015 Fenix is super expressive. Dark cherry, chocolate, menthol, licorice and spice notes all run through this racy, Ballard Canyon red. In 2015, the Fenix packs a serious punch. I would give it a few years to soft, despite the considerable allure it holds today. Antonio Galloni
