Ethiopian Terra Cotta Head Fragment, Aksumite? tramp art jewelry box presumably for VermontI cannot authenticate the age or authenticity of this head, which I purchased just because I really like it, but I do know if came from Ethiopia, and it looks very much like ancient Aksumite heads, examples of which I've included in photos. (Aksum was an ancient Ethiopian kingdom that spanned what are now Eritrea, northern Ethiopia, much of eastern Sudan and southern eastern Yemen.)
