The patterns of her dress and border around the rim are terrific too

with light wear to the wood and some tiny white spots on one side only that likely seem to come off with a little care

It feels completely resolved, and rather like it always existed, effortlessly emerging at some point from this sheet of muted green paper, which, scuffed and smudged, feels like its been around forever too. I believe it is actually a portrait of the late artist and longtime art professor Leon Hovsepian of Worchester, MA, at whose estate sale I purchased it; perhaps
