Something about those five pieces of yellow chalk held up by those tall stretches of bent wire really does it for me aesthetically (almost like five abstracted figures lined up in a row), and then it's quite a handy thing for drawing a staff of five lines across a chalkboard (or paper, or wall, or whatever one might like.)
