) I don't think especially old but quite nicely done and certainly not made yesterday

The piece is taped around the edges to the mat on the back side which should be fairly easy to carefully peel or cut away

Black and Olive Painted Old Wooden Decoy Head painting with snake measures approxAnother fragment, this one the head from quite an old working decoy, which I find quite beautiful for its elegant carved form, the contrast between black and olive paint, and tack eyes, which have lost most of its black paint. The bottom edge of the neck is a bit uneven so it does not stand up on its own. 5 3 4" l x 3 5 8" t x 1 1 16" d.
