Ballot Millot, Volnay Taillepieds Vintage:2009 (from Le Petit Clos)This offers a clear step up in elegance and aromatic depth with a cool and very pinot nose that is mostly composed of fresh red pinot fruit but there is enough mineral influence to be interesting. I very much like the palpable sense of energy on the detailed, focused and linear finish that delivers excellent persistence as well as a classic Taillepieds touch of austerity. This isnt an especially concentrated effort but it is very pretty. 89 2016+
