or carved wooden animal

but I rather like how its simple whiteness now makes him look rather like a butcher

are slip trailed arching white lines in slight relief

I don't think this one is especially old; the wood on the handle of one side reads "Real Ebony" and the other bears some text I cannot read followed by "France." On one short side of the handle are five little inlaid bits that look like bone. I believe intended as a clothes brush, but certainly useful for all sorts of things,
