Zweigelt was created in 1922 by crossing the Blaufrnkisch and St. Laurent grapes. It is a light hearted wine, but this one shows particular charm. Hand harvested, fermented 3 weeks then aged 18 months in new and used barrel. The rich, concentrated wine is due to the older vines, aging 35 50 years. No fining, no filtration.
