I have a theory that this very fine handmade needle lace medallion was created by an Eduord Marie Verpooten (Edy Verporte)

but I might bet it was made by the same person

Some light rippling to the pith paper

and am always impressed by the labor and patience embodied in creations made of matchsticks

Wonderful Folk Art Black Dog, Carved Wood with Polychrome padlock I have a theory thatA total charmer, much better in hand, with nice age patina on the black paint, and fine carve marks all over. Love at first sight, found in PA, with a bit of a feline aspect but I do believe a dog. (Best of both worlds!) 6" l x 3 7 8" t x 2 1 8" w, very good condition. 1920s 40s or so I would guess.
