It measures 38 1/" tall x 25" wide without fringe and is in excellent vintage condition

A leather pull on the top with scalloped edge matches. I believe this box would have been used to store tobacco, and I have seen very similar examples described as Native American, primarily dating to the mid to late 19th century.
