This makes it windproof and waterproof. For really rough weather, there is a practical, packable hood to keep the rain and strong winds out. The hood is adjustable so as to allow a cap to be worn underneath. There are superb handwarmer pockets, and large front paockets with quick load straps for holding the flaps open to keep them out the way when reloading
