Very Finely Carved Antique Wooden Hand marthe reminding one of the layTiny, but pretty exquisite I think, I'd guess from a very old Santos figure or similar. A great deal of care was invested in carving then painting it (showing now a mix of brownish red and gold) with beautifully tapering fingers, painted fingernails, and even fine lines carved into the palm of the hand.
