Lovely Hand-painted Japanese Treen Nesting Eggs folk art model boat I know very little aboutThe kin of these Japanese nesting eggs are the treen apples one sees around from time to time housing a spinning horse race game inside. These are a bit rarer from what I can tell, c. 1920s 40s I believe, with each of the eggs but for the largest one hand decorated, I would guess while they were spinning around on a lathe. This set yields five complete eggs, which hold together snugly, and then there are four more unmatched halves that fit neatly
