A whiff of wood is present on the expressive and vaguely exotic nose that offers up notes of algae

Note that the less successful examples that I have tried have had finishes that have been marred by a slight dryness

with supple tannins adding support

Arnaud Ente, Puligny Montrachet Champ Gain Vintage:2015 The 2018 Bin 169 CoonawarraA relatively high toned nose is comprised by cool, pure and airy notes of mineral reduction, pear and acacia blossom. There is fine intensity to the racy and pure medium weight flavors that possess both a lovely texture and ample minerality on the clean, very dry and chiseled finish that displays a touch of youthful austerity. This too is quite tightly wound and will need at least a few years of patience first.
