All of the drawings remind me very much of paper soldiers I've found--made by mounting cutout drawings to bits of wood or cardboard such that they will stand up--though the ground under the feet of this guy suggests he was only ever drawn to live inside a ledger

and love both the individual birds featured on them

and producing bright

but it would be great either way
