Antique Pennsylvania Folk Art Mirror with Painted Bird 1925 american legion medal and to my eye isEverything about this mirror with bird (original to it) is a a little wonky, which is much of what I love about it! The carved and polychromed bird veers just a hair to one side (which seems to be how it was made) and shows paint loss in a couple of spots, and the mirror is all kinds of aged all of which adds up to a thing with, to my eye, a whole lot of charm and personality. I know this was found in Pennsylvania and looks Pennsylvania German to me.
