Unusual, Large, Hand-painted Reward of Merit with George Washington, Liberty, Joseph Brant sixth plate ambrotype but finding this little wall

but finding this little wall box yesterday made an outing that otherwise turned up very little worth the trip--I love this thing

there is a bit of irregularity to the white glaze--perhaps a tiny bit of darkening in a couple of spots but it might be original to the piece and does not detract

as there are some letters a bit taller and wider and thicker than others

to the carved face and hat

Unusual, Large, Hand-painted Reward of Merit with George Washington, Liberty, Joseph Brant sixth plate ambrotype but finding this little wallI've looked at quite a good number of rewards of merit and this seems a rare and unusual one to me extra large in size, and featuring images of George Washington (in bust portrait and in action), a classically depicted Liberty (in red robe and crowned portrait), and a soaring eagle. At lower right is a portrait of, I believe, Joseph Brant Thayendanegea, Native American of the Mohawks, who led the Six Nations in unifying to fight for the British during
