which in turn has been mounted on a 8"x 10" piece mat board that at some point was annotated by a seller

It measures 4 3/4" long x 4 1/8" t x 1 1/8" d and in good condition

but have no idea how it got there

Interior dimensions are 4 3/8" x 3 5/8" by about 9" t

It has definitely done some duty as a shelf, with a glued repair to an old split there, and to be safe I would not put much weight on it now, though I think a smalll, lightweight thing or two would be fine. In addition to the rooster itself, I love the fact that the two hooks below the shelf are just two bent nails. 7 5 8" w x 6 3 8" t x 3" d.
