Pictured here in riding clothes, Hooley (1859 1947) was a wealthy entrepreneur and owner of the Papworth estate in Cambridgeshire. He earned a fortune from his involvement in the flotation of several household British business names, including Dunlop, Bovril and Schweppes. He was also a fraudster who served two prison sentences and apparently died penniless. A print from Vanity Fair, December
