From the Pat Hatch Doll Collection, Charmer of a c. 1900 Black Stockingette Doll with Big Smile cornocupia it's amazingThis came from the phenomenal doll collection of Pat Hatch, of Harvard, MA, recently auctioned by John McInnis of Amesbury, which I totally slept on, but happily some dolls purchased are beginning to show up and this one feels as if made to be with me at least for a bit. Late 19th c 1900 or so, tightly stuffed with raw cotton, knit cotton stockinette, with this simply but I think really wonderfully embroidered smiling face. A few holes here and there,
