Created by Ernest Daltroff, it is one of the oldest men's fragrances still in production and is essentially a two part idea: lavender and vanilla. Caron sources the lavender from Provence and it makes up the majority of the formula, so the opening is herbal and clean rather than sweet. The vanilla and tonka underneath round it off and stop it turning sharp. Simple,
