2024 Christian Ducroux 'Exspectatia' Beaujolais, France The Gentle Folk Apple must (unfermented apple juice)From one of Beaujolais most uncompromising natural growers, Exspectatia comes off Ducrouxs biodynamic, polyculturally farmed estate in Rgniold Gamay vines rooted in granitic sand and decomposed pink granite. Hand harvested, whole cluster fruit undergoes long, slow carbonic fermentation with native yeasts, followed by levage in neutral vessels and bottling with zero added SO.
