Chateau Haut-Vigneau Pessac-Leognan Rouge 2019 NO WINE SEARCHER and the SaarSame property as the blanc but a different beast the Haut Vigneau red comes from clay gravel soils on the same Pessac Leognan plateau, run by Eric Perrin of Carbonnieux. 2019 was an excellent Left Bank vintage that delivered ripeness without losing freshness, and this wine shows the warm vintage flesh held in check by Pessac's characteristic smoky minerality. Predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot. A serious Pessac red at an everyday Bordeaux
